Thomas Welshans
EMT Liaison

Thomas started his medical career in 2008 where he became an EMT/FireFighter. While pursuing his dreams in helping others is when he decided that there was more for him in this line of work. Within a year, Thomas became certified as an E-911 Dispatcher. Not only was he able to help people in his community directly, but he was also able to help others throughout his County, sending help where needed.

During his time with both departments, Thomas engaged in nearly every single fundraiser and charity run that was active within his County including raising money for ALS and the Susan B. Komen Foundation.

Previous to his work in the medical field, Thomas was in the aviation field where he was involved with aircraft maintenance as a warehouse parts clerk.

Thomas enjoys helping others in the medical field, but it was in 2013 when he decided to get back involved in the aviation field.

Thomas is now a Senior Material Specialist with FedEx Express in Memphis, Tn.  His job requires him to be contacted by maintenance when an aircraft requires a critical part that enables the aircraft to remain serviceable. Thomas therefore feels like he is still able to help when needed, and for that matter, takes pride in is work. Although Thomas is no longer an EMT/FireFighter, he continues part time work serving his County as an E-911 Dispatcher.
